“Spirit of Lawn Hill”

In 1994, My friend and I took a fortnight’s holiday in Lawn Hill, in Western Queensland, near the Northern Territory border. This painting of Lawn Hill shows the distinctive palm trees, and the blue green, calcium rich water, which repels mosquitoes. This is a National Park, where dogs are not allowed, so we camped outside the Park, at Adele’s Grove, where my friend’s little dog was welcome.

The following painting was done from the top of the Island Stack, looking down to the Gorge below.
