Blencoe Falls are on Blencoe Creek, a tributary of the Herbert River, about four hours’ drive from Ravenshoe, in cattle country. It is an isolated spot, and was used as the site of one of the episodes of the TV series, “Survivor”.

We camped there for a couple of days, and one night slept in our car and waited for the dawn. The changing morning light provided me with many subjects, and the exhibition I later did of this area was my most successful ever.
